Galal Eltahan is a recognized IT executive with more than 28 years of experience in varied business domains including Government, Telecommunication, Consultancy, Tourism and Hospitality industries. He is experienced in the delivery of large complex programs especially in the domain of Smart Cities and Digital Transformation. Currently, he is the Group Enterprise Architecture Senior Director for The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC) & AMAALA, a closed joint stock company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. In his role as Head of Group Enterprise Architecture Office, he is leading the architecture, design and implementation of the Smart Destination Platform and more than 50 integrated smart services spreading across the Smart Destinations to achieve the company’s vision and strategy. Before his current role, Galal worked with Digital Dubai to manage the Smart Dubai platform program, which is one of the biggest government smart city platforms in the region. Also, he was heading the Infrastructure and Operations for the Dubai World Trade Center and was a member of the bidding team for Dubai EXPO2020 dossier. In addition, he was a member of the Vodafone Egypt launch team. Building upon his education in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and the experience gained during his career, Galal now leads on the delivery of one of the most amazing regenerative global tourist destinations.
